FT SERVICES ACHIEVES 100 PER CENT IN SAFETY AUDIT

CALGARY, AB - FT Services, announced today the achievement of a significant milestone by scoring 100 per cent in a safety audit conducted by the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA). The safety audit encompassed all of FT Services' Alberta sites and its corporate office."Earlier this year we achieved more than six million work hours, lost-time injury free since start of operations in 2007," said Andy Mackintosh, President and CEO. "The result of this audit supports this achievement through our robust safety systems and processes, as well as a commitment to a positive safety culture. It is encouraging to know that we have the foundations in place to continually improve our safety culture within FT Services."
The auditor remarked that a culture of safety was visible across our company, from our tradespeople to executive leadership. "Congratulations to the entire HSSE team and all of the FT Services organization for using the systems and tools available to keep our people safe," added Rafat Farooqi, Vice President, HSSE.
The audit measured FT Services' health and safety protocols, including safe job procedures, personal protective equipment, preventative maintenance, training and communication, inspections and emergency preparedness.
The ACSA is a non-profit organization funded and directed by industry. ACSA will recommend to Alberta Human Resources and Employment, Workplace Health & Safety the issuance of a Certificate of Recognition.
