FT SERVICES COMMENCES WORK AT SUNCOR'S SARNIA REFINERY

August 25, 2008

SARNIA, ON - FT Services announces the start of an asset management services contract at Suncor Energy Products, Inc.'s Sarnia refinery today. The new contract with FT Services will operate under the principles of a strategic relationship - all companies working together in our integrated One Team approach to achieve a common goal - Operational Excellence.

"Suncor has a long-standing reputation in the Sarnia community and we look forward to using our One Team approach for maintenance and turnaround services to help achieve their operational goals," says Andy Mackintosh, President and CEO, FT Services.

FT Services will bring leading edge systems and maintenance practices to the Sarnia refinery. "We have a proven history of working collaboratively within large, complex industrial sites to achieve significant improvements in plant asset management performance," adds Mackintosh.

FT Services will start base maintenance services immediately and begin turnaround planning services in 2009 for the 2010 Turnaround. The work was awarded to FT Services as part of a five-year, performance-based, rolling contract. Transfield Asset Management Services (TAMS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of FT Services, is the operating arm that will manage the work on-site. There are more than 100 staff and trades employees involved in this contract.

"We have built a strong relationship with Suncor that will assist in developing a fully-integrated operational team that can implement best-practices, systems and processes" concludes Mackintosh.

FT Services first implemented the One Team approach to maintaining refinery assets at Suncor's Oil Sands Main Site in August 2007 and Firebag in September 2007. After evaluating the progress at those sites and conducting a baseline study, Suncor agreed to enter into a similar agreement for the Sarnia refinery.

The FT Services' contract with Suncor's Oil Sands facilities involves between 700 and 2,000 employees, depending on the scope and type of work taking place. The contract in Fort McMurray includes maintenance, turnaround, field support and sustaining projects services.
