FLINT TRANSFIELD SERVICES COMMENCES SUNCOR ENERGY CONTRACT

Flint Transfield Services (FT Services) announced today that its asset management and maintenance services contract with Suncor Energy had commenced.

This work is provided by an FT Services operating division - Transfield Asset Management Services. On day one more than 100 FT Services employees began working at Suncor Energy's oil sands site in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

President (Acting) of FT Services and CEO North America of Transfield Services, Mr Joseph Sadatmehr, said today: "This is a historic moment as the first day that FT Services and Suncor Energy began working together in a unique strategic relationship integrating all asset maintenance planning and operations."

Over the last six months, FT Services has been working closely with Suncor Energy to ensure a smooth transition of site-wide maintenance, third party contract maintenance, plant turn-around and sustaining capital projects to Transfield Asset Management Services.

The five year, C$1 billion asset management contract with Suncor Energy announced in March this year, also involves FT Services working at Suncor's Firebag facilities at the end of September and at the refinery in Sarnia, Ontario in the first quarter of 2008.

This work will be delivered with engineering partners Colt Engineering Corporation and scaffolders, ThyssenKrupp Safway.
