Pre-requisites

All interested applicants must:

• Be graduates of a university degree or college diploma program, preferably from, but not limited to, the disciplines of engineering, business management, financial administration and human resources
• Have practical employment experience, and/or other experiences which demonstrate leadership, creativity, problem solving, a result focus, and the ability to forge strong relationships
• Be mobile as extensive travel may be required as determined by operational requirements of FT Services and the goals of the FLP
• Have demonstrated a keen interest in, and an appetite for a variety of professional experiences

Application

In general, we will post opportunities in the fall for spring graduates and may post an expression of interest at different times of the year. We also work directly with numerous schools throughout Alberta to promote the FLP. Look for information sessions posted through your University Career Center and look for FT Services at your schools' next Career Show!  

Interviews

All applications will be reviewed to ensure prequalifying factors are met. Successful applicants, who meet the minimum criteria may be contacted for a brief telephone interview to further confirm pre-qualifying factors and discuss expectations. A few selected applicants will be scheduled for interviews as follows:

• An initial interview will be conducted by the Future Leaders Staffing Coordinator and potentially the functional area manager
• A second interview by a panel of FT Services' Leaders will be conducted for those applicants recommended for further screening
• Candidates considered suitable for the program will undergo a final review by FT Services' President & CEO or delegate
• Suitable candidates will complete a behavioural trait assessment prior to final selection process
