Michael Wandmaker

President & CEO

Michael has more than 20 years of global experience in senior roles in various industries, including oil and gas; engineering and construction; maintenance management; pulp and paper; mining; steel and rail. Prior to joining FT Services, Michael was Executive General Manager for Transfield Services in Australia and New Zealand which included the Services division, Defence and Telecommunications. He has previously held roles in managing businesses in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and in Canada. Michael holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He has also served in the Royal Australian Navy for 20 years and during his tenure with the Navy he held the role Fleet Maintenance Management Officer. Michael joined FT Services in May 2010.

 Andy Brooks, CFO

Andy Brooks

Chief Financial Officer
Andy Brooks has more than 20 years of senior management experience in financial, business and operational roles in various industries including, industrial construction in oil and gas; engineering; residential and commercial construction; and banking. Andy is a Certified Management Accountant, CMA Alberta and a Certified Practicing Accountant, CPA Australia and has a Masters degree in business administration. Previously, Andy was Vice President, Business Operations for Flint Infrastructure Services Ltd. leading the Finance, Labour Relations and Human Resources teams. Andy joined FT Services in April 2010.
Kevin Hawco

Kevin Hawco

Senior Vice President, Business Sustainability
Kevin Hawco has more than 28 years of financial, business and management experience in the oil and gas industry. Kevin received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He has held senior management roles in major oil and gas companies, and has experience in both oil & gas and development operations. His previous role was Vice President - Business Operations (Infrastructure Division) for Flint Energy Services Ltd. Kevin joined FT Services in May 2008.

Rafat Farooqi

Vice President, Health, Safety, Security and Environment
Rafat has more than 20 years of diverse operational and HSSE experience in the petroleum industry. He started his career in the offshore industry and over the years has worked internationally in Asia, Europe and the Middle East and locally in the Oil Sands in technical and leadership roles. In his most recent role prior to joining FT Services, Rafat worked for Jacobs Canada Inc. in a similar role providing HSSE leadership for its Canadian and Colorado operations. Having NEBOSH and CRSP designations along with a mechanical engineering background, Rafat has been instrumental in building inherent safety in design protocols and effectively launching these principles on major engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance projects. In his career, Rafat has demonstrated success in building an improved safety culture and helping lower injuries and losses across the businesses served.
 Spencer Fried

Spencer Fried

Vice President, Business Development
Spencer Fried is responsible for leading FT Services Business Development organization, working closely with regional and product line management groups to deliver the complete FT Services asset management capability. Spencer has more than 25 years experience in the Canadian and international oil and gas industry and has held various engineering, management and executive level positions in energy services companies. He spent the first seven years of his career with a large Canadian-based oil producer. Spencer has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta with a professional engineer designation from the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.

Susan Layman

Vice President, Human Resources
Susan has more than 20 years of experience in human resource management and joined FT Services from Rohm and Haas in the U.S. where her most recent role was Global HR Business Director for the Electronic Materials group.  Susan started her career with Nortel Networks' Digital Switching Group in Calgary and after promotion to Nortel's Canadian headquarters in Toronto she was instrumental in helping Nortel globalize. In the mid-1990s Susan expanded her human resources portfolio by joining Hoffmann LaRoche Ltd. (Pharma) in Ontario and drove notable achievement in post-acquisition change and business performance management. With a Masters of Arts in Organization Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations, combined with marketing training at the Wharton School and University of Michigan's world class HR executive program, Susan brings a wealth of professional HR knowledge to FT Services.

 Peter McCarthy

Peter McCarthy

Vice President, Turnaround Systems Compliance

Peter joined FT Services in January 2009 and has more than 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry in Australia and North America. Peter has been with the Transfield Services group of companies since 2003 and while in Australia, he focused on the execution management of major turnarounds as well as the development of best-in-class turnaround management processes and procedures. Prior to joining FT Services, Peter relocated to join TIMEC, another Transfield Services company based in the United States in 2007. In this role he was responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance and reliability, turnaround and minor construction operational systems and processes. Peter holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, and an advanced diploma in business management from the University of Ballarat, Australia.

David Videroni

David Videroni

Executive Account Manager
David has more than 15 years of experience in asset management services in Australia and North America. He has held a number of senior positions within Transfield Services in the oil and gas sector as well as project management activities. David's previous role was Vice President, Operations with FT Services where he led the successful implementation and ongoing operations of its Asset Management Services agreement with Suncor Energy. This relationship provides routine maintenance, major events, sustaining projects, turnaround management and execution, and contractor management services to Suncor's oil sands operations located near Fort McMurray, Alberta; SAGD operations at Firebag outside of Fort McMurray; and Sarnia Refinery Operations in Ontario. Prior to this David was Implementation Manager of the new Integrated Services Contract for Caltex Refineries in Australia where he was responsible to lead a best-in-class project execution system for all reliability and maintenance projects, as well as capital sustaining projects and turnarounds. David has a bachelor of engineering (civil, honours) degree from Queensland University of Technology in Australia and has been working in Canada since 2006. David also currently serves on the Keyano College Foundation Board of Directors.
